Google is the dominant search engine worldwide. Searchengineland.com reports Google search has about a 90% share worldwide. Why countries haven’t enforced antitrust against Google I have no idea. Search is not a hard business. As one way to Resist the move to fascism, we are ditching Google as our search engine. Did you know Google is a US defense contractor? Or that Google may use AI for weapons? See this post from the BBC, titled “Concern over Google ending ban on AI weapons.” So yeah, ditch Google and slow down the AI enslavement / death race.
How to change your search engine in Safari
Apple and Google came to a sweetheart deal years ago where Google would be the main search engine on iOS by paying Apple big money and Apple would make it difficult to change the search engine on your phone. It’s not hard but most people don’t know how to do it.
We document the steps to change your search engine for iOS phones. We recommend Ecosia, DuckDuckGo, or Bing. Something petty we do is go to Google to search up Bing. 😂
Step One: Open Settings
Step Two: Scroll down to the bottom and open Apps
If you have a new version of iOS, scroll down to the bottom and open iOS. If you have an old version, look for the Safari app.
Step 3: Scroll down and find Safari
Step 4: Open the Search Engine option
Step 5: Pick a non-Google search option
That’s it! You changed your default search option.

Yeah, America has entered an authoritarian government. Having been fed a diet about freedom and liberty for 250 years, I doubt we’ll go willingly or easily to a 78 year-old, sleepy Russian asset named Krasnov. Every small action to resist damages the regime. They need popular consent to take away our rights.
