Pokémon: Paradox Rift zooms past 151 in value!

My predictions from yesterday and the last two weeks were wrong! Paradox Rift has zoomed past 151 for the most valuable set in the Scarlet & Violet era. It shows you don’t need Charizard in the every set with good art and game changing mechanics to drive value.

I don’t know how we learned this for the first time, but tcgplayer has extensive price guides for each set. Here is the price guide for Paradox Rift in numerical card order.

We updated our spreadsheet and came up with these results. We only looked at cards greater than $3. That’s where most of the set values lies

  • Total value: $1306.75
  • Cards value at $3 or more: 73
  • Value of cards $3 or more: $934.44
  • Concentration of value: 27.44% of 266 cards generate the value. This is in line with 151.
  • Top cards value %: 71.51%
  • Pack Price: $3 on tcgplayer wo shipping
  • Packs needed to get full set: 436 packs!

Most expensive card

Without question, the most expensive card are all the variants of Roaring Moon.

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes tend to shoot up in price once you can’t get them on the Pokémon Center site. Fans go crazy on eBay bidding them up. Many times the value of the cards is not proportional to the sealed ETB’s.

For the first we have seen Pokémon Center has Roaring Moon and Iron Valiant ETB’s back in stock after selling out. It’s a smart move, to generate more supply, capture more revenue for Pokémon TCG, and reduce auction prices.
