Yesterday, we received our Poster Collection box and our Scarlet and Violet-151 ETB. We bought it on tcgplayer for $24. Pokemon Center was selling it for $15. For $24, it’s not worth 3 packs, foil versions of Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle, and the poster. But, and a big but, the poster is amazing and massive. It’s two sided. One side shows all the Pokemon shadows in pokedex order. This same pattern is on the outside of the box. The other side shows all the Scarlet and Violet-151 card’s through 151. As expected, we didn’t get much from the three packs. The poster was a delight. If you can get it for less, it’s worth it. themandalorian approves. Now to get some poster tape.

At first look, the 151 starters looked ordinary. When I took them out of the plastic, the detail of the holo treatment on the edges and background pops out. Squirtle might be my favorite. The holo treatment really makes the water sparkle.

Cool cards

Our best pull was Ninetales EX. The art work is quite good. It was fire pulls that came through for us. I love the holo treatment on the energies. They look badass. Our small sample of pulls confirms that it will be hard to pull good cards in this set.

If you don’t want to see the posters, please stop here.

The first side shows the Pokémon outline or shadow in pokedex order. The same shapes are present on all 151 materials, including the packs.

The second shows every card present in pokedex order. The artwork is brilliant.

Honestly, I don’t feel mad at all we didn’t get great cards. The artwork and theme makes up for everything.

Verdict: ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ of ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
