Tesla is no longer changing the price of new cars left and right. Instead, they are reducing their massive inventory by offering discounts. This is a discount of $2,401 for a new vehicle in inventory.
Here’s how a new one looks like.

A recent Axios article shows Tesla has suffered reputational damage.
Tesla’s reputation slumps as GM, Ford climb – Axios
The big picture: Tesla ranked 62nd by reputation among the 100 most visible brands, tumbling from 12th last year and 8th in 2021.
Axios
Color me not surprised. Most of Tesla’s US buyers are in California, which Tesla’s CEO has done a good job to alienate. The Twitter fiasco has exposed the capriciousness of the Chief Nitwit. In China, they are facing fast moving producers and their auto driving tech can’t keep up. With massive inventory, increasing factory production, sinking reputation, and a history of poor customer service, price discounts will be needed.
Ford recently struck a deal that 2024 models will be able to use Tesla’s supercharging network. An adapter will be made available for existing Ford EV owners.
Why Ford EVs Will Get Tesla NACS Charging Ports, Access To Superchargers – Cleantechnica
This is good for EV adoption. It doubles the number of charging stations for Ford owners. It’s good for Tesla to have more supercharging customers.
More EV options are coming. Which is great for a suffering planet.
