How to move expenses from one credit card to another

The act of moving credit cards 💳 is simple. You update each account with the new credit card. Right? As modern life becomes more complex, here are common places our credit card may be stuck. There is no service like Plaid to move all of our charges from one card to another. Check all of the following to move away from one card, or properly capture the rewards on a new card.

  • Amazon
  • Default credit card on phone
  • Auto insurance
  • Life insurance
  • Home insurance
  • Electric bill
  • Water bill
  • Internet
  • Cell phones
  • Online shops (so many!)
  • Travel sites
  • Hotel sites
  • Airline sites
  • Online antivirus
  • Subscription services like Youtube, Roku, Spotify, Apple, etc.
  • Online / cloud productivity suites
  • Monthly app subscriptions
  • Prepaid legal services

We’ve moved away from SoFi, and it surprised us how many places that little nugget of credit card information is hidden. The exercise above can help you put together a budget, to make sure you live within your means, and increase your money lake for savings and investment.

My story is one of tragedy and redemption. We've made many mistakes along the way regarding our money. Our goal here is to show you how to take care of your money life long, and as much as we can, help the Earth along the way. I call it sustainable personal finance and ethical capitalism. Currently, I am a part time writer for Cleantechnica and part-time licensed financial professional, along with being a full-time dad.
